Using mailers outside the Tech Computer Center |
|
This page describes your options if mail is sent to your TCC account (addresses ending in "nmt.edu"), but you would like to read it using a mailer on a machine outside the TCC.
These are your options:
If you would like all the mail sent to your TCC account to be forwarded to another account, you can set up a special .forward file that tells the TCC's mailer where to send it.
To set up or remove a .forward file, direct your Web browser to https://infohost.nmt.edu/tcc/services/forward.php.
If you like, you can send and receive mail through Google's gmail system so that the mail you send looks like it came from your TCC account, and mail sent to your TCC account shows up in gmail. See Using Google Gmail as a Mail User Agent (MUA).
You can use a mail reader program on a non-TCC machine and set it up so that it gets your mail from the TCC.
For details of the configuration process, see `Configuring your mailer program'.
