Configuring your mailer program

To use our mail and news server from other systems, you will need these Internet addresses:

smtp mail mailhost.nmt.edu port 587

Notes:

SMTP should use the MSA port, 587. Port 587 is MSAS, and port 25 is MTA.
Select the TLS option for the IMAP connection type, if available, and enter your TCC user name and password for login information.
OutLook users should not select “Secure Password Authentication” (SPA).

All mail servers support the STARTTLS protocol to provide authentication, privacy, and data integrity.
