xwp: Using equations
|
|
The math feature in WordPerfect was originally created to calculate
subtotals, and totals within a document. But you may use many different
types of math formulas.
To use the math function:
- Position the mouse within the document where you would like
to create the math functions.
- Set a tab at every column you are going to use.
- Define the math columns by selecting from the menu:
Layout->Math->Define. A Math Define window will appear.
Edit any changes, then click the OK button.
- Turn on math by selecting from the menu:
Layout->Math->Math On.
- Insert the text and numbers within the math columns.
- Calculate by selecting from the menu:
Layout->Math->Calculate.
- Turn off math by selecting from the menu:
Layout->Math->Math On. (again)
