Using ghostview to preview PostScript files

Tech Computer Center logo

To see what a PostScript file will look like without actually printing it, you must use a workstation with X-window capability. Use the ghostview command:

    % ghostview yourfile.ps
where yourfile.ps is the name of the PostScript file. The first page of your document should appear on the screen, with a narrow window to its left showing all the page numbers in your document.

For complete documentation, see the man page for ghostview.
