Typing Sybase SQL commands
|
|
SQL is free-form. There are no rules about how long a command
can be, nor where you break a line. In these pages, sections of
a command will start on a new line for clarity and readability.
At the end of each of these command sections you can either press
the enter key to start a new line, or you can press the space bar
and continue until the procedure tells you to press enter.
- As you type your command, keep in mind that nothing
will be executed until you type the word ``go'' and
press Enter.
- If at any time you want to start your command over, just press
control-C. This will clear out any partial
command you have typed and let you start over.
