Hazing is not condoned. It should not be tolerated. Don't participate in it.

If you become the target, or otherwise a victim, of hazing from any of your co-workers email me a report of the incident. The hazings I have heard of, or seen some of the results of (like a mountain of magnetic tape strewn across a person's desk area), seem to be much like the gentler forms of St. Pat's pranks that used to be part of the Freshman initiation years ago. Such rituals have no place in a professional work environment at Tech.

While the participation of full time employees in these activities may give the appearance of acceptance hazing is not condoned. If you know of any full time employees who are supporting such activities be sure to let the Manager of User Services, and the Director of Academic Computing, know about it.
