Research Opportunities at Tech

There is plenty to do at New Mexico Tech! Getting involved with research is one of the most important aspects of our student educational experience. 75% of all NMTech grads complete their degrees with at least one semester of research with a faculty member. 99% graduate with some technical experience in industry or on campus.

The best way to get started is 1) as a freshmen, demonstrate that you can handle the academic load with a successful start to your first semesters, 2) to talk to your advisor about your goals and opportunities on campus. Your advisor can steer you toward groups working in your area of interest.

In all likelihood, with good grades, you'll be in the lab or in the field working by the start of your sophmore year.
