Assistant Professor of Chemistry at New Mexico Tech

New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech) seeks applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August of 2007. Candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for appointment at higher rank. The Department of Chemistry is ACS-accredited and grants B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. Qualified candidates will have completed the Ph.D. in chemistry. Postdoctoral experience is preferable. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent research program, and to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. Candidates from all areas of chemistry will be considered. Those with research interests complementing the existing strengths of the department are encouraged to apply. In addition to general departmental facilities, research centers including energetic materials and petroleum recovery exist.
